Hell let lose in bayelsa....as soldiers blaze homes!

The recent turn of events in Bayelsa which resulted from the killing of four soldiers by suspected pirates. Another ugly turn when  SOLDIERS hunting for suspected pirates that killed the soldiers at  the creek in Bayelsa State.

Reportedly invaded Letugbene and Bilabiri riverine communities in Ekeremor Local Government Area, razing several houses and forcing villagers to flee their homes.

A residents, who spoke  in a statement said:
“Our attention has been drawn to the killing of innocent military personnel by suspected sea bandits and the subsequent burning of harmless Letugbene community on Monday.
“We call on the military to stop further burning of innocent Ijaw communities in Niger Delta region if they are not a security threat in the region.
We equally aver that the perpetrators should be unravelled in no distance time. “It is our appeal that innocent persons that were arrested should be released and the houses burnt rebuilt by relevant authorities responsible for the burning the community. “We make bold to condemn the twin actions by the suspected sea bandits and the reprisal burning of innocent Letugbene community by the military.
“They should endeavour to separate the innocent from criminals and any attempt to punish the innocent persons for offence they know nothing about will only show unprofessionalism.”

These run of events where members of the security agencies are being butchered by criminals has been a national concern.

Now the question is

Can you really fault the actions of the soldier?

Do you think they went too far by burning the homes in the communities?

Don't you think the communities deserve more for hosting criminals??

The return to the country of the president has been met with a lot of optimism, as it looks like the country can now finally move forward with its restructuring agenda. Even the capital market smiled with the recent reports that  The naira, yesterday, further appreciated in the  parallel market even as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) injected $297 million into the interbank foreign exchange market.
