Cultism really a positive?

NO fewer than 10 persons have been killed within the last three days in Akure, the Ondo State capital, with others injured, as rival cult groups do battle over supremacy.
Meanwhile, the Police said over 20 suspects have been arrested in connection with this crimes in the metropolis, among those arrested are
convicts, Omololu James, 19; Ojo Odunayo, 16, and Wale Ayemowa, 18, discharged from prisons in Lagos State after serving their sentences and Bidemi Victor 18, who served his jail sentence in Olokuta in Akure

Now its quite visible from the age of the suspects that they are just youths, the fact that most if them have already been convicted for one crime or the other shows how quick these youth have gone down the road of crime
Some say its the confraternities they belong to that leads them on these journey of crime, these leaves one thinking what was the purpose of these youths joining these groups?
If it where to gain something has that been achieved, as the sacrifice seems alarming for one to throw away all his dreams and admiration for what gain?
The saying the youths are the leaders of tomorrow now comes under scrutiny! How does an ex convict become a leader? When he can't even get a job? What is the hope for the country when its useful brains, hands and man power run of the gutter of crime? Where is the hope for the country?
The question is what do you think really attracts these youths to these confraternities?

Do you think the government go do anything to reduce this?
And is it possible to belong to these confraternities and not be involved in crimes?
Have your say !
